Your students deserve all the accolades you have bestowed upon them this year. After reading some of these posts I can understand why you believe in them and suport them so ferociously. They have so much to offer and I hope they continue in your absence. Congrats on a job so very well done!
Ms. Coggio,
Thank you so much for all you've done for all of us. I've never had a better literature class! I can honestly say that as a person and as a teacher, you're the best!
You brought up a lesson about trying to summarize a person by judging them on their name. Well, people meet all kinds of Pauls, Rachels, and Joe-Shmo's, but there's only one Gina Coggio, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to have her as my teacher.
Dear Blanca--
What kind and unexpected words...thank you. As you can see, people are floored by your writing. You clearly have a gift with words...I hope you use that gift for the rest of your life.
Love,
Ms. Coggio
Dear Mrs. K--
I can't thank you enough for taking the time to respond to my students' writing and to mine. I am so appreciative of your interest in them and their writing and for your thoughtful responses.
My students are extremely gifted, as you've already seen on this site. Thank you for recognizing their creative talent.
